Crafting Our Work

Although price is a consideration, our priority is always in the quality of our products. All of our kitchen cabinet cases are made of 3/4” hardwood plywood, prefinished with a rugged ultra-violet cured clear coat for longevity. The cases are machined by the c.n.c. router with blind dadoes and rabbets. They look warm and clean and are incredibly durable. As well, our drawer and door hardware is the best you can buy, manufactured by Hettich of Austria.

Door types are available in a range of styles, wood species and finishes. From lacquered white, to real bamboo, or clear lacquer over black walnut, we design for your taste.

Really, it comes down to the right people using the best materials and the latest technology, alongside traditional methods and values.

Also, we believe that our work should contribute to a sustainable environment for all.

• Cowichan Woodwork's finishes are water-based lacquers and low v.o.c. or water-based stains and dyes. We can meet all “green-building” and L.E.E.D.S. parameters.
• Cowichan Woodwork's plywoods are soy based glues- no formaldehyde.
• Cowichan Woodwork's plywood u.v. cured finish does not off-gas.
• Cowichan Woodwork's preference is to use Forestry Stewardship Council Certified products.
