The challenge here was to create a functional kitchen with modern amenities, in a small space, while retaining the character that was obvious throughout the rest of the home. Note the vent grill built into the furniture kick on the island, as well as the teardrop corbels that add flair and dimension to this furniture piece. True leaded glass upper cabinets are of "old world" quality and really keep the physical and visual "lightness" of the space.
