When asked how he defines craftsmanship, the owner, Gordon Smith, jokes that most people envision a solitary woodworker cloistered for ages in a sawdust- strewn workshop toiling towards the finished product.  Not so at CWW. “Craftsmanship is a collaborative process that is initiated at the design stage. It begins with communication, creativity, carefully selected materials, tried and true handcrafted methodology as well as cutting edge technology. The result is pride of ownership.  Our clients are discriminating individuals who seek the best value and quality materials within the margins of their budget. Craftsmanship is having the passion and ability to create a high quality product at an excellent price point, so dreams become reality.”

At CWW, passion, professionalism, attention to detail and friendliness are at the root of all they do.  That is apparent when you walk through the doors of the 11,000 square foot building affectionately and historically called “The Joinery” on Cobble Hill Road, home to CWW.  In 2007, Gordon bought the building and extensively renovated it to meet the needs of his growing business. Your visit will start with a friendly greeting. Turn left, and you will see the showroom, with diverse samples of cabinetry and millwork, furniture-like islands, captivating countertops, live edge detailing, and crafted wall art. Turn right, and you can hear the hum of industry—your visions are manufactured and finished onsite.  Let us show you the production shop; our team of talented and experienced designers, woodworkers, finishers and installers enjoy meeting the people they are working with.

To make dreams come true, our first job is to listen and inquire.  Customers arrive with notes scrawled on the backs of napkins, photos on cell phones, scrapbooks filled with clippings, or professional architectural plans.  Our knowledgeable designers provide efficient and practical solutions to challenges and create illustrated design portfolios. The process is guided collaboratively from beginning to end, helping customers to make informed, aesthetically-pleasing and practical decisions, and leading to beautiful results.
